Hello and welcome to the membership area of our web site.
Family is defined as someone you are related to. You usually cannot choose your relatives.
Every family has one uncle no one talks about and at least one aunt that
has a problem that is just whispered about. However, that is not that family I am
talking about. I am talking about "chosen" family. This is the family that you take
into your heart. When you choose to call a very special person "aunt", "mother",
"uncle" or "father", this means so much more to both of you. It means that you and
they are so much more than friends, it is more of a family relationship.
That is what Temple Beth El Israel affords so many people. We have come from near and far,
warm and cold and we are each other's family.
Our Temple family consists of Jews of all ages, sizes and shapes. We all moved to Florida for different reasons, but the reason we joined the temple was
to be with other Jews. We have families with young children, older children, grandchildren,
single members and lots of wonderful people. We offer lots of activities and are
sure
that there is something here for everyone.
We invite you to come to an Erev Shabbat service. These services are held at 8:00
PM
on Friday evenings. However, on the first Friday of the month during Religious School,
our services are transformed into a Family Service. These Family Services begin
at 7:00 PM and are always a joy. Each month a different class performs during the service
and the children, our future, are wonderful. We also hold Shabbat services on Saturdays
at 10:00 AM.
